Maggie MINI Jacket has a casual fit with two front pockets and buttons along the front placket. The jacket is made from organic cotton canvas and is decorated with Suzani embroidery forming a cross pattern along the edges and across the jacket. The embroidery features motifs such as flowers, peace doves, and other beautiful details.

This Suzani embroidered item is decorated with the manually controlled chain stitch technique of Suzani embroidery. Our Suzani embroidery is made by Indian artisans, mostly using the tambour to create a unique and vivid Suzani embroidery pattern. The name “Suzani” comes from the Persian word su-zan, meaning needle. The Indian artisans use a hooked needle instrument called a tambour to create the intricate chain stitching that is the hallmark of Suzani embroidery. Due to the manually controlled nature of Suzani embroidery, you may notice little variations from one garment to another that add to the unique charm of a Suzani decorated item.
